I know I have been away for too long but here is something to give you something to talk about. Apparently some folks think it's okay to chose what MY children, or yours, can or can't read.  It angers me that the library change it to the adult section, why does one person complain has to change everything. here in Florida on Leesburg county we have a library caving in and moving the books to the adult section.

Warning: I'm not a very patient person with the whole let's banned this book idea. In person I will be rather rude if you to talk to me about doing that sort of thing.

I was having coffee this morning and in the news a story came out about some parents being angry at a Middle school for having the book Me, Penelope by Lisa Jahn-Clough, at the school library.  The story can be found here.  Now maybe it's me, but it really upsets me that parents go up in flames over a book.  Granted, I have not read the book.  ( Read more... )
